James Avery ("Uncle Phil") dies at 65
James La Rue Avery Sr., best known for his role as Uncle Phil in the TV show Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, died in his Glendale, California home on New Year's Eve (December 31, 2013) at the age of 65. He died of complications after an open heart surgery.
