Joan Rivers Dies at 81

Joan Alexandra Molinsky, better known as Joan Rivers, died at the age of 81 during a procedure on her vocal cord at a clinic in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York. She is best known for her stand-up comedy, red-carpet interviews and for co-hosting a series of E! celebrity fashion shows. Her self-deprecating humour and critical view of celebrities raised her to stardom. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Rivers.
